Going back to school costs.
Pain is as important to my principles as my wallet, and this time of year always makes me feel a little hot.
What annoyed me last year was the excessive and unnecessary cost of stationery.
This year is the time to wear uniforms.
I am also a little dissatisfied with the way school donations are collected.
The price of school uniforms is too outrageous.
I was told that there is usually only one supplier and the share of the school is as high as ten per cent.
I did what I had to pay for Epsom girls grammar school uniform.
Even if you buy only one pair of skirts, one for each shirt in summer and winter, the price of uniforms, PE gear, netball and water polo kit is as high as $970, A pair of sports fleece and sportswear pants. Ouch.
Every school wants a unique look that pushes up prices.
To get a better idea of the cost of school uniforms, I asked Postie\'s chief executive Richard Binns what is the price difference between branded and non-branded school uniforms of similar quality.
If you buy a non-branded uniform of similar quality from his store, $500 of the brand uniform will cost about $130, he said.
This difference is caused by the cost of small-scale production in individual schools and school signs.
This is a lot of money for parents.
Poti had stocked up the brand uniforms but later sold the business to the warehouse.
It now sells ordinary uniforms that some schools allow students to wear. Most don\'t.
Kmart and warehouse also sell brand-free uniforms.
In the UK, schools often choose universal design.
Parents can buy this uniform from Tesco, Asda or Sainsbury supermarket.
The school has embroidered badges that can be ironed on uniforms.
Warehouse chief executive and former executive
School board member Mark Powell says parents can save a lot of money if the school board approves at least some generic uniform programs.
Perhaps, they can choose a suit coat with a letter-printed pattern, but they can also choose ordinary shorts, shirts and skirts.
My daughter changed school twice in two years and I was determined not to wear too many school uniforms, so I went to the Neighbourly website where I found what we needed most.
The rest came from the bulletin board for me and the local supermarket.
This year, I am a little obsessed with trying to find ways to reduce the cost of unification from material or in principle.
I even thought about booking 6. 15 ($12. 50)
An ordinary school dress from George, England, or 12 ($24. 45)

The quality, rather than buying an almost identical one for $65, may be lower --
Quality Takapuna Grammar school dress.
This week, I found New Zealand parents doing this on the internet forum.
I don\'t buy the school uniform for good quality.
The children are growing up and most of the clothes have grown up before they wear out.
For example, it costs $34 to buy a pair of Balmoral School shorts from the warehouse, while WZ and Basics brand shorts cost $8 each.
The warehouse has only recently taken over branded clothing, and Powell says his company is looking for ways to lower prices.
The uniform\'s quality argument is valid only if you have two children of the same gender and shape that go through the same school at an appropriate interval and the school does not change the uniform during this period.
A friend has a son starting at Ranchito college this year and is paying the king\'s ransom to get him ready.
Even the brand of shoes that boys have to buy is stated in the school uniform policy.
The minimum price for school suppliers is $130.
As my friend said: \"OK, the facilities in the school are great.
But now we know why: just buy shoes and connect with corporate sponsors.
\"Last year, I bought a pair of shoes from boy Groby, which is made of leather and is flexible and fits well.
Grosby is an 80-year-
Old Australian company connected to Clarks shoes.
According to the wearer, after wearing my son four times, they still have enough living space and are very comfortable.
The same shoes were sold for $39 this weekend. 99.
This year neither Takapuna Grammar nor Belmont Intermediate asked me to buy stationery from a certain supplier so they could have fun, which relieved meback on sales.
We emptied the stationery on the table, put everything on the table, and picked things that could be reused in previous years.
Including visual diary and other superiors
Only two or three pages of pricing were used last year.
I am also careful to make sure that duplicate items on different topics are not bought twice.
Then we walked into the warehouse stationery and picked up the rest of what was needed.
Our school can get a small commission from the warehouse stationerystore.
A few years ago, a teacher sent me an email saying that she would not let her class use the Impact branded books on warehouse stationery because they were of poor quality.
Since then, I \'ve been focusing on our impact books, but I don\'t agree with her.
One year I had to buy all our school stationery from Australia
To return profits from overseas exchange to its own stationery company.
That year, I was particularly annoyed because there was a mandatory delivery fee and if I was able to get stationery when I was passing the stationery shop, I wouldn\'t have to pay for it.
Instead of buying a school-
Book a box of stationery and of course it\'s better to buy what you lack.
Buying what you already have is a waste of world resources.
Some schools get sharp if you don\'t follow the rules.
My daughter started detention last year because I didn\'t buy one of her work books through the school\'s online system.
As soon as I found out what had happened, I bought the book.
However, I raised my eyebrows on the deck --
Method of school.
No book is comparable to detention.
In my case, behind the problem is the busy work mother syndrome.
I\'m sure there are other parents\' daughters in the school who have been detained for not being able to afford a $29 exercise book.
Ironically, the book was completely unused at the end of the year.
Just because a child lives in nine out of ten
Zone 10 does not mean there is cheating on him or her parents-10 incomes.
Children in cash
Poor families in high school
More neat than a low school.
My complaints about school donations are on behalf of parents who, unlike me, cannot make one-time payments at the beginning of the year.
Why does a person who can\'t pay at one time pay more than I do?
If this is the case for me, I will stop borrowing directly when the payment reaches the discounted amount.
After all, donations are voluntary and those who strive to pay for them should not be punished.
